Toucan crossing by Ashton Park: Festival Way closed for 6 weeks
We all know that crossing over the B1234 at the Ashton Park end of the Festival Way path can be dangerous. It’s good news that funding has been found to put in place a Toucan crossing (that’s a pelican crossing with lights for cyclists too).
Work starts next week on Monday 1st February and will last for approximately 6 weeks. During this time Festival Way can still be accessed from Yanley Lane but it will effectively be a dead end, closed at the Ashton Court end for the safety of pedestrians and cyclists.
In early March also expect the road to be closed overnight (19:00 – 06:00) so the work can be completed
